Water Utility Operator

The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking to fill a Utility Operator position at our 30MGD Surface Water Treatment Plant, GRP (Groundwater Reduction Plan) Division in Conroe, Texas. This position would operate water treatment, supply, transmission and distribution systems in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Pay range is $23.00 to $27.00/hour, commensurate with experience. SJRA offers a full benefit package including medical, dental & vision insurance, and paid vacation and sick time. Also included is a retirement savings plan in which SJRA contributes 8% automatically and matches up to an additional 4% of the employees contribution.

Requirements

At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in the operations and maintenance of surface water treatment systems.
TCEQ Class C Operator Certification in Surface Water required (TCEQ Class C Operator certification in Groundwater would be considered.)
Current Texas driver's license with insurable record.
