Wastewater O&M Specialist I
Starting at $18.00 per hour plus benefits. Entry level position. No certification required Must have general mechanical, electrical and labor experience.

Wastewater O&M Specialist II
Starting at $20.00 per hour plus benefits. Must meet specialist I requirements, have up to 2 years of field experience or relevant education. Wastewater Operator Certification preferred but not required for hire. Will be required for advancement with the company.

Wastewater O&M Specialist III
Starting at $22.00 per hour plus benefits. Must meet specialist I & II requirements, have up to 3 years of field experience and a Certified Wastewater Treatment Operator Grade III or above.

You will work with and learn from one of the founders of the company, Ric Vardel, who has a distinguished technical and project management experience supporting complex wastewater projects. As our Environmental Scientist and Wastewater Specialist, he has in-depth understanding of the required operations and maintenance of treatment plants. Mr. Vardel has the highest State of California Mandatory Wastewater Treatment Plant Certification, Grade V. He was the youngest person to achieve the Grade V Certification in California in 1983.
You will have opportunities to work at many unique locations and facilities, leaning all levels of field operations, including ground up construction, operations, PLC programing, and building and designing control panels, pipping and electrical, and SCADA Systems. You will work on private and governmental jobs. In addition, you will learn the practical and scientific processes involved in successfully running and operating Advanced On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems, On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems, Membrane BiorRecotors, Automation and Computerization and Trouble Shooting.

General Duties
Performs and assists in general manual labor tasks and functions including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Provides detailed reports to a supervisor or manager.
Drives long distances, can be up to 300 miles a day.
Assists coworkers by driving to pick up and deliver parts.

Sampling Duties
Conducts treatment process control sampling, testing and recording process tests,
Transports samples from client locations to laboratories.

Maintenance Duties
Provides general maintenance and repair.
Inspects process equipment according to established procedures.
Records meters and gauge readings.
Identifies and corrects equipment malfunctions and assists with the construction of new facilities and equipment.

Physical Demands
Physically demanding work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force consistently.
Must have ability to sit for extended periods of time with extensive driving in company vehicle.

Mandatory Requirements
Employee will be subject to random drug testing during employment.
Must pass background check upon hire.
Must pass new hire physical drug test.
Required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

No previous education or experience required for Level I.
Able to understand mechanical repairs, methods and troubleshooting.
Must be computer literate and proficient in the use and operations of office equipment.

Skilled in the use of handheld manual and power tools.
Construction experience highly desirable.
Basic skill in reading and interpreting diagrams and prints.
Skilled in communicating effectively with team members, management and external organizations under normal and emergency conditions.
Skilled in the use of communication devices such as computers, smartphones, wireless hotspots and handheld radios.

Must have a valid California Class C Driver's License and a safe driving record.
Proficient in Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Gmail, and Google Drive.
Proficient in verbal and written English communications.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to drive all company vehicles and equipment without limitations.
Ability to read a map or obtain driving directions independently.
Ability to swim proficiently without fear of large water tanks or holding areas.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Able to routinely lift 50lbs, regularly stoop, bend or sit for extended periods of time.

Note: Must live within 50 miles of Malibu, CA.
