Water Modeler
Engineering It is expected that this individual would spend the majority of their time completing high level urban collection system and distribution system modeling tasks. The modeling efforts would include master planning, system analysis, future alternatives, working with design engineers, and various other tasks. This person should be able to demonstrate engineering judgment and innovative thinking. Software Sales Support It is expected that this individual would spend approximately 3 percent of their time in supporting the software sales team by lending their expertise to aid in the completion of software sales. Educational Requirements The minimum would be an advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Hydrology or similar field, from an accredited university. Any course work, thesis, or dissertation work should be able to reflect an understanding of complex mathematics and hydraulics as they apply to flow. Technical Requirements Knowledge of urban hydrology and hydraulic modeling strategies and models, understanding of the basic GIS principles, knowledge and experience with Rainfall Dependent Infiltration and Inflow (RDII) and Rainfall Runoff analysis. Preferred Technical Abilities Knowledge of SCADA systems, Real Time Control (RTC) and familiarity with Decision Support Systems; a working knowledge and understanding of ESRI?S ArcGIS; a working knowledge of the design and implementation of enterprise or local databases (not administration) versus formatted binary and text files. Preferred Work Experience It is presumed that this individual can demonstrate at least 5-6 years of experience of modeling urban collections systems, but an understanding of system mater planning, distribution systems, as well as asset management, customer maintenance management systems is helpful.
