Wastewater Plant Operator - full and part time
Corporate Overview The Applied Water Management Group (AWMG) of American Water is a full-service, water resource company with offices in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Nevada. Our service area focuses on the northeast but includes the 27 states currently being serviced by our sister companies within American Water. Recent accomplishments include the design, construction, and operation (under a 20-year contract) of the wastewater reclamation and reuse system for Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The 68,000-seat stadium is the new home of the New England Revolution and the New England Patriots. AWMG also designed, constructed and now operates a wastewater reclamation and recycling system to serve a new 250-unit apartment building in Battery Park, New York City. This apartment building sets a precedent in urban environmental management. The treatment plant utilizes an advanced membrane bioreactor system to separate water from wastewater; providing a high quality recycled water that will be used to flush toilets, to transfer heat from cooling towers, and for landscape irrigation.
