Service Technician

Career opportunity for technical professional who will efficiently manage water treatment programs for our multiple Chicago-area customers by performing periodic service visits & protocols, to achieve superior performance. Our products & dispensing equipment provide water-side protection from mineral scale, corrosion & micro activity in cooling towers, boilers, chillers, air compressors, & closed loops. Tech will test, analyze & adjust levels of water & treatment chemicals, ensure related controls & equipment operating properly, manage inventory, place orders, write reports, and communicate with customers & follow-up on any outstanding issues. (A key component of this position is Customer Relations as successful employee will possess strong/effective verbal communications skills to maintain customer confidence in our services, products & performance.)Field Service Technician independently performs hands-on periodic daily service calls to multiple-customer account base ensuring; correct treatment levels, proper operation of dispensing & filtration equipment, inventory management, correct written report, follow-up/resolution of issues & customer satisfaction. Service Technician will perform 3-5 service visits/protocols per day for customers, driving to different multiple industrial and/or commercial locations in the metro area. (Unplanned or emergency call-outs may occur, also).Service new & existing cooling tower, chiller, and air compressor & boiler accounts, as assigned. Duties; test & adjust treatment levels, calibrate & repair dispensing equipment, replace filtration media, visual equipment inspection for foulants, start-up new accounts. Troubleshoot treatment, chemical, feed, dispensing, electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical problems. Interpret & analyze events & data, determine & apply appropriate corrective actions utilizing manufacturers’ manuals; initiate outsourced solution, follow-through to conclusion. Ensure that related treatment & equipment will run correctly, optimally, & continuously until next service visit.
