Major Water Utility Company seeks Project Team Leader for ensuring the delivery and completion of capital projects on time and within budget by stewarding projects from inception to closing.

The Project Team Leader is accountable for ensuring multiple assigned projects are completed on time and within budget by hands on project management and by assignment of staff to individual tasks and projects in an efficient manner. The Project Team Leader will ensure the coordination of pre-construction, construction and commissioning activities with Operations, Engineering Design, and Water Quality departments to minimize disruptions to core business activities and to deliver projects that meet the needs of front-line utility personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering AND registration as a professional engineer in the state the individual is assigned

OR Bachelors Degree in construction management or closely related field AND project management certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM).

- No less than 4 years of relevant experience in managing public works and/or public utility projects.

- At least two years of relevant supervisory experience.

- Knowledge of and experience using project management software (particularly Primavera and MS Project) preferred.

- Experience with the JD Edwards accounting software package a plus.


Must be willing to travel as required by project needs. Travel can be up to two overnight stays per month and turnaround full-day trips, by car or by air, up to 4 days per month.
