The Project Engineer will manage part of a major project or an entire project of moderate scope; perform complex project management work as a team member for capital and operating projects and strategic issues within District policies; participate in and review project launches, planning, change management, control, and close-out procedures. The Project Engineer should be able to professionally represent the District in meetings or presentations to the Board of Directors, public, contractors, and federal, state, and local agencies.

Qualifications: Candidate must have experience reading and analyzing design drawings, managing project budgets, preparing reports, evaluating project budget estimates, recommending solutions and resolving complex project problems. Requires two years of increasingly responsible project management or analytical experience in engineering environment, preferably in a water facilities or public agency. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor?s degree in addition to a Professional Engineer?s (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
