O&M Technician
Operations and Maintenance of an activated sludge, wastewater treatment plant, collection system and lift stations. Monitors the performance of all equipment, gauges, and charts in the wastewater treatment plant stations. Records statistical data concerning plant operations. Maintains, operates, repairs, and replaces equipment as necessary. Chart lab test results for trend analysis and maintains accurate records of analyses and test results. Evaluates data and writes reports as required. SALARY: Commensurate with Experience EXPERIENCE: Wastewater Plant Experience Preferred. SKILLS: High School Diploma or equivalent Valid CDL Class B Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement in the State of Illinois. Illinois OIT or Class IV IEPA Wastewater Certification preferred, must be obtained within 12-months of employment. Applicant must have good mechanical, reading, math, writing and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills. WORKING HOURS: 7:00a-4:00p with rotating on-call and weekend responsibilities.
