Market Manager - Commercial Markets
The Market Manager, Commercial Markets is responsible for development and execution strategies centered on the growth of commercial markets in North America. This position is tasked with developing customer focus business/marketing plans including the go-to-market strategy for commercial markets within the Pentair Water Treatment customer and product base. Responsibilities include: ?Lead market expansion activities for Pentair Water Treatment the develop innovative market strategies to reposition Pentair for differentiation and profitable growth including Pro-Channel, and Dealer Development strategies. Serve as Liaison, product expert, etc for commercial initiative managing potential channel conflict. Support commercial sales through Pro-Channel. ?Develop and promote cross platform, multi-generation product portfolios ?Provide direction and strategy to the business on new products and technologies ?Develop executable business plans for market segment expansion. Specifically, the marketing plan includes the components of competitor analysis, market size, market growth, environmental analysis, product offering, customer segmentation, branding, distribution and the go-to-market strategy. This position is a primary source of input to Sales and Engineering, and drives all specification and feature decisions. ?Assess the opportunities and risks associated with market strategies (including impact on core businesses). ?Management of strategic new product development projects via the Tech-21 new product development process, and insure clear VOC support and ownership of commercial business plans. ?Identify new market trends, emerging regulations and industry business changes to ensure successful growth strategy and implementation. ?Leads and evaluates new technology that drives competitive advantage in our products and services. ?Works with global peers to develop and execute global commercial water treatment strategy. EDUCATION OR DEGREE REQUIRED: BS/BA in Marketing, or Business Administration, Engineering; MBA preferred REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES: ?5+ years minimum product management, engineering, sales or marketing experience ?Technical ability to work closely with engineering ?Strong general business and strategic skills ?Excellent quantitative and inter-functional communication skills ?Financial skills to assess and to drive profitability ?Business sense and emotional commitment to defend the best interests of the products and brands involved ?Strong PC and presentation skills ?Strong process oriented ?Demonstrated project management expertise with a cross functional team ?Demonstrated creativity and flexibility ?Market research experience Note: Please mention Get Water Treatment Jobs (GetWaterTreatmentJobs.com) in your cover letter when applying.
