Industrial Manufacturing Engineer

Research, develop and prepare specifications for improvements to existing and/or new products, processes, equipment, and technology. Manage projects by developing a project schedule and team, tracking costs, preparing status reports, conducting team meetings, and communicating issues and progress to management. Prepare cost analysis reports including project description, justification, schedule, budgets, and resource requirements. Supervise and direct contract personnel and outside vendors in the performance of contracted services. Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates with the Engineering organization. Supervise daily activities of Associate Engineers and all levels of Engineering Technicians. Provide direction and technical decision making for management involving capital asset purchases and expense for projects Prepare and present technical investigative reports to middle level management. Moderate degree of both internal and external personnel interfaces. Applies knowledge and experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes such as line balancing, shift scheduling, line efficiency, time studies, Visual Factory Management, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, SMED (Quick Changeover), Mistake-proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, and Kaizen Blitz. Prepare facility, building, and room layouts, concepts, and floor plans based on production flow and lean manufacturing concepts. Preparation of specifications and protocols for the development, testing and qualification of equipment, processes and products. Required: BS degree in Engineering with at least 4-7 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering position or equivalent degree/experience.
