CDM?s Environmental Management and Planning Division (EMPD) has an immediate opening in the Chicago, Illinois office for a Hazardous Waste Remediation Group Leader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

? Managing a group of approximately 16 full-time scientists and engineers distributed among the Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Louisville offices
? Coordination of workload for all staff; providing sales support from the group to client service managers (CSMs)
? Overseeing and mentoring individual staff during project execution
? Mentoring and guiding individual staff to develop professionally and advance along their chosen career path
? Conducting annual appraisals
? Performing the responsibilities of a lead scientist/engineer and/or project manager where appropriate
? Maintaining staff workload, addressing the staffing needs of the local client service managers and coordinating staffing issues with other EMPD Group Leaders as well as Group Leaders in other CDM divisions

Requirements:
? Minimum of 7 years experience and a BS (MS preferred) in a scientific or engineering discipline
? The successful candidate must be an accomplished manager with excellent technical skills; verbal and written communication skills; business development skills; interpersonal and listening skills; and time management skills
? While this position will be based out of Chicago, frequent travel to Pittsburgh and Louisville will be required
