Buyer/Planner
• Generate and place purchase orders with vendors.
• Negotiate purchase order pricing with vendors.
• Work closely with vendors to insure accurate and on-time delivery, managing the details of day to day business.
• Evaluate inventory and sales reports to determine necessary purchase quantities by item.
• Implement a strong inventory management program.
• Work closely with the management team to ensure purchase orders meet customer and logistics requirements.

Education: degree in business management or equivalent.
Desired experience skills:
• Progressive 5+ year’s procurement or supply chain experience with chemical industry. Preferably knowledge of buying chemicals and agri-business feed stocks, etc.
• Experience in vendor partner negotiations Assist in negotiating with vendors to support purchase orders for capital improvement projects.
• Experience with JIT/ ERP systems is a plus. Manage and schedule material arrival utilizing just in time planning.
• Strong Excel skills
• Must have good communication and follow-up skills
• Excellent project management skills. Problem-solve and work well under pressure, handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
• Ability to set and accomplish organization goals
• Self-Starter who is able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
• Responsible to buy all the materials that are needed to run the chemical processing plant.
• Manage the supply chain, including logistics for inbound and outbound freight.
