The Associate Project Manager position is the first level of the project management career path. The PM01 reports to a Regional Business Group Staffing Manager or Work Group Leader and has accountability to a Regional Project Delivery Manager (PDM) for successful project execution when managing projects. The PM01 manages small to medium size projects. The PM01 typically works under the mentorship of more senior project management professionals, and is supported by technical task leaders as required to bring the necessary skills to the project. Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of CH2M HILL?s Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: Health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project-specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Specific duties include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff. The PM01 is a participant in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling, and performance. Additionally, the PM01 is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a US accredited university or college.
Eleven (11) years relevant experience.
Serving in the project manager role on engineering projects may require a Professional Engineer?s license.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
